Voice.paly.net reports fast times coming from sophomore Jasmine Tosky during the qualification round of the girl’s Central Coast Section swimming championships. Those fast times happened to be new CCS records as well.
Tosky’s first event was the 200 freestyle. She touched first in 1 minute 44 seconds which was under the old record by three seconds and was also an All- American time.
Her second individual event of the day was the 100 butterfly. She touched first in this event as well with a new record time of 52.84. Her time in this event broke the old record, held by University of California, Berkeley swimmer Colleen Fotsch, by two seconds.
Day two of competition at the Santa Clara International Swim Center resumes at 2p.m.
