According to swimnews.com Juan Antonio Samaranch died today at the age of 89, from heart failure. Samaranch lead the IOC from 1980-2000.
Samaranch was known for making the Olympics more financially appealing. He was a part of the movement that brought in more TV deals and sponsorships.
