Warnaco Swimwear Incorporated announced today that Dana Vollmer has signed with Speedo through 2012. Vollmer was a collegiate swimming star at Cal Berkeley. At last years NCAA meet she won four events and helped her team to its first ever championship. She was named NCAA swimmer of the year for her efforts and was also a Honda Sports Award Winner. President of Warnaco Swimwear Group, Helen McCluskey, welcomes Vollmer to team Speedo.
She is off to a very good start in 2010. She took home four titles at the Austin Grand Prix. At that meet she won the 100m free, 100m fly, 200m free, and 200m fly. Her time in the 100m free at that meet was the second-fastest time in the world.
Vollmer currently trains in Berkeley at California Aquatics under coaches
